His early stuff wasn't bad IMO. But yes, he fell off quickly.

Wife and I are going to see Nate Bargatze tomorrow in Laffy. For not cursing, his stuff isn't terrible.

fwiw i saw him in NOLA a couple years ago and fell asleep. Some dude in the back stood up and started yelling "boring!"

his special on netflix is pretty entertaining tho

I don't know anything about how stand up actually works or what you call the different elements of the craft. I don't think Bargatze's jokes are all that funny, but I stay pretty engaged just listening to his stories and the jokes are secondary. Same with someone like Mulaney.

I'll listen to both tell the same mediocre jokes because I find the act of telling them amusing - is that delivery?
