To be fair, Teams does suck arse.

In what way? We use it company wide globally and it’s fantastic. Minimal issues, no down time, quality calls and video meetings/recordings…

I’ve previous experience with Slack that was worse in most ways.

We switched from Google (Gmail, Google Meet, etc.) to Microsoft, and while I think Microsoft is a more robust product, we've run into a lot of performance issues and lag time.

Biggest issue is that, even if you use the web version of Teams/Outlook/Sharepoint/etc., there's so much buffering/lag. My current laptop was lightning fast until we made the switch to Microsoft (granted, it is a cheaper laptop) and it got bogged down with each individual app needed. We have to switch to higher end laptops now, which is fine but we had zero performance issues when using Google.

Also a pain when clients share Google docs/folders. Our old Google accounts were all canceled so they're sharing with an email address not tied to Google and we can't access.

Just now I clicked over to my Teams tab (we are a fully remote team, so we use Teams chat to communicate throughout the day) and I had to wait for it to fully refresh ("we are setting things up for you..."), click out of my Rakuten popup again, etc.

We didn't have any lag whatsoever flipping between G-Chat, Gmail, etc.
