Man I'm so tired of the CJ hate dude was brought in to be a third option but he can never play that role because Zion or BI are always hurt. I can't blame the guy who is actually playing while Zion is ending another season in street clothes.

CJ plays through a broken thumb that needed surgery for the final two months last season.

Meanwhile, Zion sits out a must-win game at the end of this season with a sore finger that had no major structural damage.

Only one of those players gets constantly shite on by this board.

Yup, I get CJ has disappeared in the clutch many many times but, as has been pointed out, he should be the third option. Also, he is the one that changed his game for the betterment of the team and shot very well from 3 on high volume this season, which is exactly what BI should have done. With that said, there is an argument to be made that having him as the 6th man on this team and trading BI for a bigger guard or "true" PG is the best path forward. I don't think the latter really exists as there aren't too many of those type of PGs out there but you could get Trae and have CJ off the bench. I still prefer trading BI+ for Evan Mobley though. He makes so much sense on this roster at the 5, especially if he continues to work on his 3 point game.

CJ changed his shot profile and became one of the top 3 point shooters in the league this year. He is not a point guard and he is not a closer. He's an off ball scorer who can get you points playing next to another star. I'm hoping days off let him get his legs under him later in the series.
