Good Will Hunting (1997): never saw it but don't see it could make a man cry.
You never saw it but still have an opinion on how it can make people feel?
If I were to wager a guess, they're referring to the story Robin Williams' character tells Matt Damon's about the wife he lost.

I know it gets made fun of a lot, but the "it's not your fault" scene, for anyone who's had experience with kids from trauma backgrounds, one of the biggest things you see with them is they almost always blame themselves for what happened to them. That scene hits hard.

It is the "It's not your fault" scene. We never seen the wife to form any emotional attachment plus they follow it with "it sure would have been nice to catch that game" banter right after.
