I'm aware that being a decent human is apparently not something you expect out of the police.

What do you have to say about officer Zachary Wester planting evidence on dozens of people? I bet you'd say those people he pulled over and planted evidence in their car had probably done something wrong at some point in their life to deserve it. Maybe an overdue library book. He obviously got an unfair trial and now a good cop (by your definition) is behind bars!
