Ukraine is just the first stop on the way to Poland and Romania.
Before you know it, Russia will be in Paris and London.
If Ukraine can beat Russia with just our weapons and not our manpower, then there is no way in hell Russia could ever threaten Poland and beyond. It doesn't make any sense to think Russia will go into Poland based on how this war has progressed (there was never a reason to believe this either).

Western banks do not have their claws into Russia. That is the crux of the matter.
If only Putin would trade Russian resources with the dollar and use SWIFT we would be friends.

They don't want all of Europe. They just have to push their borders back out to geographically defensible positions, which means securing the Polish and Bessarabian Gaps and stationing static forces there. I think Putin's mistake was underestimating the extent to which NATO would back Ukraine. He probably thought that the real fight would be in Poland. Simply securing Ukraine does little to nothing for them strategically or economically.
