Zion was given plenty of chances this year to perform in the clutch. Early in the year he was literally leading the league in turnovers in the clutch. He wasn’t good. For 3/4ths of this year we’ve been waiting for him to take the reins from BI. It’s what has to happen on this team and he wasn’t able to do that. And that wasn’t BIs fault. It was a Zion not playing good enough problem.

Yeah you didnt really answer the question. It’s different when the other player isn’t on the floor and its all on you as the main guy. You’re making this a Zion v BI thing. Thats not what I’m saying. I’m saying its not just coincidence that Zion performed better in the clutch when BI wasn’t there. I just don’t think they fit together and even in the clutch Zion performs better without BI on the court. In the end, I don’t think you need another guy who demands the ball if you trade BI, Mobley would be good and you run everything, even in clutch, through Zion.

I did answer it.
It should make no difference if he’s on the floor or not.
Zion is playing better right now b/c he’s in much better shape than he was for the first half of the year. Had nothing to do with BI being on the court or not.

You wanted a guy who works his arse off like BI to concede to lazy arse Zion? BI isn’t stupid. He knows Zion is better, but that right to be the guy has to be earned, and Zion is just now finally starting to earn it, 4 and a half years into his career.

As I said, he had plenty of chances with BI on the court and he performed terribly. He also didn’t get any favors from his coach on play calling. If BI had been on the court the last 3 weeks I don’t think you see anything different. When Zion wants to be the #1 guy he’ll rightfully take it, regardless of who is or isn’t on the court.
