If educating 1 student in Louisiana costs the taxpayers 12-15k (which is what it is) and instead they send out 5k “vouchers” for private, somebody tell me how that is not a win for the state?

Because the student gets a $5,000 handout and the public school still gets the 12-15k for that student. You don't really think they're going to carve out that money goes to each handout, do you? There is a baseline budget for any public school to remain open regardless of the number if students who attend.

Right now BlueBoxer Jr is in first grade at St Matthew's, which goes up to grade 7. The state is paying ZERO for the education of BlueBoxer Jr.

In three years, when Junior is in 4th grade at St Matthews, the state will strt to pay $5K for the education of Junior.

This is now $5,000 in new spending for the state.

BECAUSE THE $12-15k YOU CITE WILL NOT DECREASE A DIME. How do you not understand?
