I'm making a raised garden with a cinder block perimeter 1 block high. After removing the existing grass should I put a landscape fabric barrier before my Black Kow manure and compost or will it hinder root growth? I will plant tomato, cucumber, jalapeno peppers etc.

Cardboard , then sticks and debris from the yard, banana peels, egg shells, and other compost stuff then topped with sand, mushroom compost, lots of soil, worm castings, vermiculite, peat moss, fertilizer. Top layer is gardenstraw bought online
