Dems could have easily solidified abortion into the law of the land if they wanted to. If they pushed for a 20 wk ban (almost 5 months into a pregnancy) while controlling all 3 branches, they would’ve gotten enough R support for it to pass. The vast majority of the world think 3rd term abortions are not only wrong morally disgusting.
Dems love having abortion on the ballot. It there emotional bogieman to fire up the irrational emotional voters.
