Is it more or less normal to immediately think it was a real, legitimate graduation where a person's whole family would be allowed on stage to watch a relative chug a beer while being handed a diploma?

My first thought when seeing video was that there was no way it was real and a quick two second google later, my thought was confirmed.

To be fair, a lot of the "journalists" are making it seem like it could have been a real graduation with the headlines they are using.
