They've technically been out since 2005 with Byetta. They are much improved and not without side effects. With the sheer number of people using them for weight loss/maintenance, I'm sure we'll see more reports. Especially considering the sources they are getting the Rx's from aren't likely monitoring or warning for side effects, nutritional deficiencies etc. due to the want of easy money and not putting in the effort for adequate monitoring. Buyer beware. Patients have an obligation to take care of themselves as well and educate themselves on potential side effects, contraindications and interactions.
