My high school had a cannon. The ROTC fired it every time we scored in a football game.
it's very nice and very real. only the ROTC doesn't actually shoot live rounds. just a wad and occasionally some confetti.

Yup, I went there. Unfortunately we didn't get to fire the cannon much during my tenure.
