Skull and Roses Canceled

From the emal:

Dear Dead Heads,

With deep sorrow I must inform you that SKULL & ROSES 6 has been canceled. In all transparency, the financial devastation of the 2023 show made it impossible to sustain the weight of the new production.

We have maintained hope and exhausted every imaginable possibility, right up to this very moment. It has now become clear, however, that we have reached the end of the line. All the cards are down and there’s nothing left to see.

This is not a choice, the decision has been made for us. Had we known (or stopped fighting) sooner, we would have let you know then. Please know that this is the truth. We feel exactly the same way that you do, in every regard.

Words cannot tell how much we appreciate your undying dedication and extreme connection with this show. We don’t know what the future holds. Please accept my most sincere apologies for the troubles this message will cause.

Gratefully,

Chris Mitrovich, Founder

REFUNDS: While tickets and hotels were sold on a non-refundable basis, we sincerely wish that funds were available to refund all purchases. Unfortunately, this is simply not the case at this time. Additional information will be provided just as soon as it becomes available and will be posted through our socials and at www.SKULLANDROSES.com

How many versions of Scarlet Begonias can a person stand in a single weekend?

That fest was catering to the old school California heads. No one eas driving over an hour or two, which is probably why they didn’t sell many tickets.

The wook chargeback wave is going to piss off a lot banks.

Didn’t help Phish and Neil Young were playing around the corner the same weekend last year
Organizer may have bit off too much when they brought in Phil Lesh last year

No refunds is unacceptable.

They had a few years where the lineup was amazing.

I went in 2022 and 23. Both times flew to LA and drove to and stayed at a beach house in Ventura. It’s a really great vacation

2022 was amazing. Probably the most fun at a music festival I’ve ever had. Down and dirty, ramshackle, homemade no rules and no cops. Big fun

2023 was extended to 5 days (LOL), much more organized, much less fun and a massive overreach by the organizers. It was half the crowd, at best and completely missing the good vibes from the year before. Still had a good time but we agreed we didn’t need to go back

Now this bullshite

The festival owners better have good fricking lawyers and big steve has some answering to do. This is a complete stab in the back to the scene
