Will this break the Seattle Times like it did Bud Light / Busch? No.
But it is going to start hurting their bottom line a bit as demand for advertising through them goes down. Businesses want to make contracts with groups which fulfill them, not get left holding their dicks because someone went “harrumph.”

You're overstating. Large advertisers may look at this, if they look at all, and be smart enough to understand the situation. Furthermore, large advertisers usually buy an ad campaign with a media group and their contract will not look like the standard ad contract the Seattle Times publishes on its website. They will negotiate a separate, bespoke contract that will not include the unilateral outs.
Again, this is Seattle, most people probably don't give a frick about this kerfuffle, which didn't involve a breach of contract.
