That's a nice way to tell it, but not quite the way it happened. Bama missed two short field goals in the first half, kicked their field goal early in the third quarter, and then lost a fumble inside the LSU 20 in the fourth. LSU crossed midfield twice in the first half, but the rain and the Bama D was too much after that.

Was coming to post about the rain. BUT Alabama was number 1 and still a great game.

I’m going with Auburn 1988. That Auburn defense was really good and their offense came in hot that game. LSU defense just would not give.
