Who the hell would want their kid to go to LSU?

College choice is negligible for probably 97% of people. Unless you want to work for a specific company, or need a highly specialized degree, it doesn’t matter all that much.

Go to BRCC for a year. They have a great program and the credits transfer.

There's more to college choice than just academic or degree choice. I live in Houston and UT and A&M have both become exceedingly difficult to get into. My son wanted the full college experience (which I had and felt was his right to do) and LSU is only a four hour drive. I knew he could visit whenever he wanted and we'd have great family trips for games, etc.. Some of the other schools he was accepted to were two plane rides or a plane ride + 2 hour car ride to get to. Not to mention the fact that the LSU alumni are strong in Houston and hopefully will help him when it comes time to apply for jobs.
