They're now hanging from necklaces somewhere.
From then on, I wanted to knock the frick out of every black thug POS I saw walking around with a Mercedes emblem on a chain around their neck.

We had to replace every hood ornament on new Cadillacs we had in stock back in the late 80s as the HS kids would rip them off.
Wasn't a one time thing. Would keep the replacements in the parts department and put them on when the car sold.
