So in drop 5 which bat - Icon or EHF?

ETA - USSSA AAA only, no PG

usssa is not going to follow suit unless easton says the bat doesnt meet standard

as far as which bat to get...depends on what type of hitter your kid is and how big/strong he is

if he is big and strong and is a power hitter...hype fire

if he is line drive hitter and prefers a more balanced bat, go icon.

personally i like icon way better for most kids but the hype fire in drop 5 is pretty special.

and this should be his game bat only. train with a wood bat if possible

many people are applauding the decision...im fine with it in 13aaa/majors

but let the other kids have fun. let the 13/14u AA kids have fun as for many it will be their last years of baseball or it they havent hit puberty yet anyways

for 12u majors, ban it. 50' is too close with kids that are as big as some of them.

now USSSA does need to fix the hold back situation if they are going to allow it and go to PG/2d rules on that until 14. at 14 play grade level, before that, play age with exception of 2 per team max and have to be born between jan and may, so super hold backs.

Yes, he does this now.

Agree 100%. The super hold backs vs. early 13 year olds that haven't started puberty yet is a MASSIVE physical difference.
