Finally got some production from Kling as he reached base 4 times in the two games he played. Larson showing some promise. Still gettin nothing from Neal. Braswell had his worst series at the plate. Pearson not great either.

Pearson's OB% is only .298 in SEC Games.

Neal's catching is pretty bad. He isn't hitting in SEC play. Other than being a left-handed bat, I can't understand why he's in the lineup. I'd much rather Milazzo start behind the plate and Travinski as DH.

It's easy to make the argument for defensive players (Milazzo, Kling, Milam) to get in the lineup. It's also understandable that Bingham, Travinski, and Braswell get more leeway in the field b/c of their bats. But Pearson and Neal aren't hitting and they don't add anything in the field.

Braswell is our only player hitting well against the SEC. If his defense was just average we’d be praising him like crazy. You really have to keep riding him and hope the defense comes around.

I wouldn't say he's the only player hitting well. Anything over 250 with power in sec play is a positive

Another set of stats - OPS and SEC ranking in SEC games only (from D1baseball.com).

Out of 106 qualified players:

White 1.053 is 24th

Jones 0.943 is 38th
Braswell 0.934 is 39th
Bingham 0.918 is 42nd
Travinski 0.891 is 48th

Pearson 0.716 is 73rd

Milam 0.526 is 95th
Kling 0.461 is 99th
Neal 0.361 is 102nd

2023 for comparison (out of 109 players):

Crews 1.230 was 3rd
White 1.118 was 7th

Jobert 0.935 was 30th
Dugas 0.920 was 34th

Thompson 0.890 was 43rd
Morgan 0.864 was 55th
Beloso 0.860 was 58th

Jones 0.825 was 68th

Top is not as good and bottom is much worse.
