IIRC UConn was undefeated until late in the season and only lost 1 game that year. I think duke was more talented overall, but that was a great championship game[

Duke lost early that year to cinci. UConn's first loss was to Syracuse in February. I was half right. I didn't remember that UConn lost again a couple weeks later.
