Sessions was a plant from day one.
There's zero evidence of this. He recused himself because it was the proper thing to do. He was involved in the campaign and the transition.
If Eric Holder was directing an investigation into the election of Obama, you all would have a much different opinion on recusal.

Yeah, well, that's the nature of populism.
Remember how we all used to type "That's (D)ifferent" when Democrats would do that stuff?
Now populism has infected the right to the point that the right does it too.

Of course we would. It is/was common knowledge that Holder is a biased and corrupt mouthpiece for the Democrats. We expect nothing less from people like him.

There wouldn't be a recusal a-hole, just like Holder wasn't charged and imprisoned for the same charge (contempt) that Trump folks are now in jail for.

The proper thing to do was to not let the democrats sabotage a Republican presidency through lawfare. Democrats break all the rules, but you still stupidly try to play the game handicapped.

It was never the proper thing to do. Sessions met with Russians and people from a long list of other nations like virtually every member of Congress. His actions were pure cowardice.

Under similar circumstances, Holder would not recuse himself. And that is sufficient for Sessions to have given Dems the middle finger.

The assumption here is the DOJ is a neutral law enforcement entity that exists to promote fair and impartial justice.
At this late stage, that is an absurd proposition.
All the paramilitary alphabet agencies that operate under the aegis of the DOJ — the FBI, the ATF, the DEA, etc... — have repeatedly demonstrated that they are wholly ideological agencies whose sole purpose is to legitimize the administrative state over every other consideration.
That you use Eric Holder as an example only underscores the point.
