Perhaps no other profession is treated as roughly by Murder, She Wrote. TV producers would be the other option. Though surprisingly, writers often come off poorly as well.

Several great villains, multiple murderers, at least one murderess (a true psychopath), and several victims whose deaths make you believe in karma.

A few exceptions to the rule.

Molly Connors in Coal Miner’s Slaugter:



William Windom before stepping into his iconic role plays a lawyer who participated in the group murder of a guy who definitely had it coming. And his motive was to save a young lady some sight embarrassment so it was almost forgivable.



And perhaps my favorite, Norman Lester:
