It’s a problem throughout the civilized world. Japan is worse than the US for birth rates, but not much worse than many European nations.

Yeah birth rates are plummeting in most westernized nations. I'm not sure the reason.

Japan is far from being the most racist country out there. They do seriously hate the Chinese, but that's because of the war to a degree, as well their cultural differences go back centuries. My son has lived / worked there for going on 7 years now, happily married with 2 young daughters. He's never had any racial issues, in general or with his in laws. I've visited twice, for several weeks, & have never felt any issues. One of his best friends is a black guy from Ghana & he's said he's never had racial issues either. It is a very male dominated society, though. Western females would never make it there.
