Hailey fit in fine with the team,

No not really. There was tension present there for a while. I think she grew more accepted later in the season but it didn’t seem like she wanted to be in BR.

Mulkey needs to vet better. Can’t just take the biggest name

I agree. But I think it had more to do with the team not really liking her as much than it did with her not wanting to be in BR. The team had serious culture problems to start the year with Poole getting kicked off and Angel sitting out two weeks. They wouldnt pass her the ball for like the first quarter of the year. It took Mulkey punishing players and losses for them to realize they had to come together.

I agree here too. Also Mulkey's talent evaluation was off as well. Hailey was too slow to be an elite PG. Then when her shot fell off it turned into a disaster. And bet Mulkey would tell you over a few drinks that she missed the boat on this one.

Completely agree. I’m going to call a spade a spade and say that black girls from BR were never going to take to some blonde white girl from a 0.5% black town in Washington who tries way too hard to act hood. I’m sure the board isn’t going to like that but there was absolutely an issue with her personality and demeanor not fitting in well with the team. I think Kim saw herself in Van Lith’s game but didn’t realize that Van Lith never had the realness or personality that allowed Kim to succeed in that environment

Where are you getting this from? I remember LSU players actively recruiting her.
