Anything more than about a 10% increase in average item price is based on factors outside of just their increase in cost due to the wage increase.

Labor cost in fast food is about 25% of revenue. The $20 min wage represents a 25% increase over the current general min wage so still less than a 10% increase in costs. The 53% increase in the fish sandwich meal can not be completely attributed directly to the increase in min wage at all, there are other factors at play there.

Cost of labor everywhere going up has ripples all along the supply chain and impacts costs at each step. Yes, this law is only for fast food workers, but you don’t think other minimum wage workers are getting raises from this, increasing prices everywhere else?
