If Williams starts next year she needs to step up. HVL gets a lot of flak here, but I literally can’t remember the last game I thought Williams had a significant impact in. If you think Van Lith is slow on D, Williams is molasses.

Mikaylah Williams is going to be an all-time great on the level of Semoine Augustus. The biggest frick up of this season was the way she was stupidly neglected in this offense. She was used as an afterthought. We should have been running the offense through her and setting screens and picks to get her looks. She’s the best deadeye shooter in the country except for Clark.

Next year she needs to be the first option on offense, not the last. Yes, I know right now tons of people are posting in the WBB threads that just started watching with the Iowa game and haven’t followed the team closely all year. These Johnny-come-latelies are spouting their dead-wrong takes with: “Ooh! MKW ain’t very good!”

I’m not saying the above applies to you. I don’t know. But we stupidly neglected and did not use the best fricking offensive weapon we had this season. We never let her get into a zone.

CKM needs to declare at the first practice: “This is now Mikaylah Williams’s team.”

Sorry, Flau’jae is gonna be the next leader- on and off the court.

I don’t disagree that Mikayla can be great but she needs to be more consistent. She has spurts where she is awe inspiring offensively. Her shot is a thing of beauty when she is on. However, she makes way too many lazy/bad passes and has inexplicable unforced turnovers like bouncing the ball off her foot or double dribbling. She also has to step up her defense. Maybe with Angel gone she will get more aggressive and active. It seemed this year she was caught watching instead of reacting. She can be as good as she wants to be but she needs to be more vocal and be a leader.

No.

The offense should have ran through Flau’jae this year, which is what they should do next year as well.
