Your situation is more about changing jobs and doing a job you enjoy rather man money. A small cut in pay is not that big of a deal.

“Money does not buy happiest” is a cheesy line. Not having money can’t make you happy either. It’s up to you for happiness.

If you do have money you have way more free time to do the things you enjoy in life rather than selling your time to your employer.
