Recently read a study that states the amount of money that is necessary for a single person to be happy and maintain a decent life in modern countries is $85k. They found that as income begins to increase, reported overall wellbeing begins to drop. Living a simplified life (no rat race) and being content with the basics was a key driver for happiness. Less stuff you have, the less stuff to worry about.
"You can't take it with you" usually goes in one ear and out the other. Actually think on that and when you realize that whether you believe in Jesus and go to heaven or just die, you will take nothing. Money is fine in and of itself, but I'm having alot more fun making less and enjoying the simple things.
