Yep. His version of the Rault Center Fire sounds like it's based on factual evidence from the tragedy. But it's 100% made up in his head. You can barely find anyone who really believes it was arson much less has any real evidence it was arson.
He does that throughout the book. Just making shite up to make 'connections'.
