Cliff Lete was enjoyable. Cade was nice but a bit stiff, for me. We just stopped at some and got in. I have the “ I work for x “ so that made it easier, but I didn’t have to use that every time. Nickel and Nickel/ far ninte is where I’d like to go next time. Duckhorn is kind of conveyor belt. ( and I was REALLY set up there. )

Favorite dining spots in or near Healdsburg in May?

We wound up not doing the tour at Amorosa.
We enjoyed Charles Krug. We didn’t do a tasting since we dropped in, but went outside on the area under the trees and drank some sparkling wine. They do wood fired pizzas outside but we had just eaten at Gotts Roadside so we just had the wine. Good stuff. It was a reserve named something else but done by them from what I recall. V Sattui is fun. They have a nice picnic area and lots of food, wine and cheese for sale. Not my favorite wine but it’s a good place to spread out a blanket and take a nap.

As for driving, if I did one tasting like the darioush olive oil and wine tasking, would I need a driver ?
And would really appreciate more dinner recommendation in Napa proper

Not sure if you mean the town of Napa or the area in general. Napa the town itself is meh.
This is a great lunch and dinner spot that is mostly locals it seems. It is right on the main road.
LINK
Small, fun atmosphere, great service and food. It won’t break the bank. Napa address.

If you just did the Darioush wine and olive oil tasting, you certainly don't need a driver.

Excellent.
Thanks for that info.
Will do that and then drive back into town and have dinner.

I’m going to be staying in the town so looking for walkable places to eat.
Already have scala osteria which came highly recommended.
Need one more dinner spot.
Will probably wing it for lunches but would love recommendation for lunch before I go over to do the olive oil tasting at Darioush.

The town of Napa has an excellent Japanese restaurant.

You talking about Morimoto? We went last time and it was very good.

Any recommendations for drivers? Going later this year and don’t want to worry about having to drive ourselves. Will be staying in Yountville and definitely using some of the recs above to pick wineries. Great list!
As long as you’re not getting sloshed, no need for one. My +1 was adamant last Feb when we went and it was the first time I had used one. $$$

We use one when we go but it’s a group of 4 of us so the bill isn’t quite as bad. I think it was around $65/hour and they drive your rental. Napa Bee Driven & My Napa Driver are 2 that we have used. We typically hit 3 wineries a day so after that 3rd one it’s really nice to not have to drive.
