At what point is it not just the players but also Jay Johnson? It’s not like 1 guy isn’t hitting the ball but multiple guys. The guys that are hitting the ball knew how to hit, or could hit, before Jay Johnson. The ones that are struggling to hit, have only been coached by JJ.
I know JJ is supposed to be a hitting guru but maybe he should re-evaluate what he is teaching or bring in some new blood. The guys with the most success at the plate under JJ are guys from the Maineri days or transfers. That is the most concerning thing to me is whether or not it’s a coaching or recruiting issue?
The same can be said with pitching. 2 years and we still have a ton of walks. Outside of last years post season, we have walked way to many people and it is now costing us games because we can’t hit.

I don't blame Johnson. Sometimes a coaches messages gets stale among players even tho it's actually the correct message.

I don't know what to say to this, but I'll try. He won a National Championship just a few months ago. This is not some goofball like Ed Orgeron; he is a guy who brought another program to Omaha.

______________

This guy gets it. It has been at least 10 minutes since Jay won a natty. What are we thinking? Bring in a coach that can win.

Am I doing this right?
