On the subject of conspiracy theories. Here's the most credible conspiracy theory I've ever heard.
Because the Government can't exactly come right out and tell us a Zombie Apocalypse is either imminent or barely kept at bay. What they've cleverly done instead, through CIA fronted Hollywood Production Companies is educate us on how to survive it and inform us all on what the threats really are.
It's no accident or coincidence that almost every Zombie movie, show or story we've ever seen or read runs the same essential playbook, same essential theme and same essential Government response.
This began with George Romero (a known CIA propagandist) and has run all the way through The walking dead and the writings of Max Brooks. In fact, take note of Brooks' writings. He takes the subject matter very seriously and is openly educational. Almost as if it he was greenlit by the CIA to go ahead and write the final, definitive chapter in this decades long story. What else can the CIA possibly teach us that it hasn't already taught us?
Furthermore, Max Brooks does have direct connections to secret governmental operations. Mel Brooks (Max Brooks father) was a devout anti-communist and a known spy and Israeli agent. This later became one of the worst kept secrets in Hollywood.
The fundamental point of this post is this. One, the CIA isn't all bad. The agency has gone to great lengths over the decades to prepare us as best it can without causing panic. And two...Somethings coming.

Since you brought up conspiracy theories and the CIA, they are the ones that coined the term "conspiracy theory" to ridicule those that would question them.
