Help locating trout this time of year.

I suck at locating trout in March. I'm not looking for specific spots, just general areas. I know they are in transition from the inside to the outside, but man I struggle to find them until late April or so. Should I target mouths of major bayous, deep holes, ponds, outer bays?
I'm headed to Cocodrie on Saturday. Winds SSE 8-10 mph. Water temps 70ish. Air temp high mid 70s. Sunny. What would you do?
