I'm driving back to New Jersey from North Carolina tomorrow. Looks like a detour west at DC for me. Tragic situation, though, RIP to those who fell with the bridge.

I may do that. Never been that way, but looks like an easy cut over to 13 north. If you mean the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, that's out of the way for me, I'll hit 301 north of Richmond.

You could pick up 301 around Richmond and dodge the Capital Beltway...
