No. His first special was pretty funny for the time, but he was average at best after that. He also stole a bunch of jokes, and apparently was getting a lot of material ghostwritten by his comedian ex.
Patrice O'Neal once threw a phonebook at him during a set and told him to read that instead, because it was more funny than his material.

I often wonder what kind of field day he would have ragging on the state of our society right now if he were still here. He is very missed. Probably one of the most naturally funny guys ever. I've cracked up the most from just listening to him have random conversations off the cuff on O&A, not to mention his amazing crowd work in his actual stand ups.
