No one is going to mention the SPR? Y'all realize that is a priority target and it's right in our backyard.

SPR should be pretty far down the target list to be honest. We don’t store refined products in the SPR, just crude oil. If you take out the refineries it becomes fairly useless.

Conventional wisdom holds that any nuclear first strike would be focused primarily on the country’s ability to retaliate. That means targeting nuclear installations first and foremost, followed by other military installations, followed by the defense industrial base. I would expect the defense industrial base starts with aerospace companies and weapons manufacturers and eventually moves to refineries and petrochemical plants. Once you reach that point, though, you’re kind of wasting warheads aiming at the SPR. We make 13 million barrels of oil a day.

That said, Erath and the Henry Hub might be fricked.
