While true, I think it's a pretty obvious weakness of this team relative to last year's. But it speaks more to just how special last year's team was as much as it does this year's. But it does underscore how young this team is. Hard for a freshman to lead and almost impossible for someone who's struggling to lead. Tommy White seems like more of a quiet leader by example, kinda like Crews last year. He's more demonstrative than Crews, but I'm not sure he's a big "rah rah" guy.

Also hard for transfers to lead like you need them too. Like Bingham and Braswell may be great leaders, but they can't really say "this is LSU, this is not how we do it here, we have higher expectations, etc..." I think that mainly leaves Trav, who I'd bet is "the leader" if there is a single one. Milazzo could be, but I think you really need to be an every day player to take that role. I don't know about Pearson's personality, but don't know that he's producing enough to really step up in that role yet.

We'll never have a team like last year's, so it's not fair to this team (or last year's for that matter) to compare. But since it was LAST YEAR's team and they won the NC, it's inevitable. We just really miss guys like Dugas, Beloso, Jobert, and Skenes. Obviously, we miss their production as much as anything, but that production--along with the experience of the former 3, specifically Dugas and Beloso who were 5th year guys--allowed them to take on more vocal leadership roles.

Nah, people pick the low hanging fruit always. They love to turn to the intangible thing & blame it on that.

Most the time it is just a talent &/or experience gap. They do the same shite with the basketball team & McMahon. Must be a bad X & O coach because they lose!
