Guidry has looked awful at the plate every time they've tried to give him a shot. He's also been focused on pitching for a while now, so just throwing him out there mid-season without even taking BP is probably not the best idea.

I wish short was the issue but it is not. Outfield doesn’t hit.

Why? This weekend Brasswell was 3 of 8 batting (0.375), OBP was 0.615. Got on base 8 of 13 PAs (if I counted right), had 1 RBI, and scored 1 Run.

Why stop there? Guidry to SS and Hellmers to 3rd base. We can move Tommy to 2nd and put Kucherak at 1st. With the infield and hitting problems solved I say we move Jake Brown back to pitcher to take Ack’s relief spot. Put Jones at C to fix the defense there and try Neal in CF to replace Kling. Problems solved.
