Old big routers are terrifying.

0-10000 rpm’s in about 1.5 seconds.

Table saws are always sketchy.

I have an old coffin wood plane from about 1870. A wedge holds the blade in. It falls out of the bottom if you don’t use it properly. Big hunk of heavy GOOD steel falls to the ground. Better have good shoes on. It would take a Katana sword maker to get it as sharp as it can be. I can’t do it.

Every time I use my router I think “this is probably the most dangerous power tool I own.” Especially since there’s no deadman switch. So if that fricker kicks out of your hands you better get out of the way.

Although thinking about it, I could see a router table being just as dangerous as a handheld router. At least with a handheld you don’t have to worry too much about your fingers.
