How could Trump be the beneficiary if in all likelihood the people you described, if they were gonna vote at all, they would have voted for him anyway? Sounds like a no net gain situation there.

Yep, that's why the investigation was pure bullshite.The campaign by the Russians changed no one's vote, however the point was that the Russians wanted to be found out and their actions known. They wanted the Democrats and Obama's intel community to get their panties in a wad.
