Stop voting for them. It’s that simple.
Everyone is looking for the magic pill, and are afraid to look inward.
Always easier to blame others.

Only way to deal with it is to reduce size and scope of government.
Republicans run on doing this, but when they get elected it's "never mind!" People are sick of this.

Because they cant get elected on expanding government, they cant get re-elected after dismantling government.
Voters are stupid and not knowledgeable enough to make responsible choices.
No one complains when their guy spends more. They only complain with the other guy does.

The problem is voters don't want their spending cut. They want everyone else's spending cut

Would term limits not help to remedy our politician problems? I’m talking just a few terms , somewhere let’s say 8 years max for representatives and senators. Do away with lifetime benefits and high salaries for these worms. Zero tolerance policy on insider trading should be standard operating procedure. Fines and penalties for government officials should be double that of ordinary citizens. I believe that should apply to law enforcement officers and court officials as well.

Our elected leaders are more akin to high school teens running for student body president, promising things that they have no true desire or ability to follow through with.
