it's so funny these websites can take a quote out of context and piss you guys off so easily

quote:

It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed…and it was very clear that I wasn’t.

quote:

I did a deeper dive into the history of Country music and studied our rich musical archive. It feels good to see how music can unite so many people around the world, while also amplifying the voices of some of the people who have dedicated so much of their lives educating on our musical history," she wrote.

quote:

"My hope is that years from now, the mention of an artist’s race, as it relates to releasing genres of music, will be irrelevant," she wrote.

isn't this what you guys want also?

btw, her song sucks. that's why I dont like it. nothing to do with her being black. I also don't care if she wants to continue making country music. I don't listen to XM much, and my spotify only plays what I like

You realize these are all her quotes right? No one on the board introduced racism into the topic or made it about race. So in actuality, this board is proof that music not being about race is not just what we want, but what we already practice. It is quotes directly from Beyoncé making racism a part of it.

it's the literal reason this thread exists: that she's mentioning race instead of the music. Nobody gives a shite if a black person wants to make country music, as long as it's good music. Charley Crockett is far from being white as the driven snow, and he's blowing up by the day.

Why are these simple concepts so hard for you to understand? Because you can't think outside of your ignorant little box?

quote:

her song sucks. that's why I dont like it. nothing to do with her being black. I also don't care if she wants to continue making country music. I don't listen to XM much, and my spotify only plays what I like
And there you go, on cue: "I don't care, yall are stupid, why are yall talking about this, but here's my opinion, xm lol, Spotify, but I'm going to come back for the next 6 pages and get buried again with logic and reason."

Nobody else here cares if she wants to keep making country music. Nobody else likes it because it's aids for the ear, not because she's black. Everybody else thinks it sucks too. Nobody cares about your music streaming choices. Of course your streaming service plays what you like, what the hell are you talking about? I swear to god I think you're a little bit retarded, but you're definitely a mindless narcissist.

quote:

that's why I dont like it. nothing to do with her being black
Again, to make it as clear for you as humanely possible: That's literally the subject line of this thread and what most people have said. You think you come in with these dynamic, enlightened takes, when you're just circling back to the same old shite. You have got to open your mind up a little bit and hear what other people are saying. Your subjective view doesn't make your takes any better than another person's, and because you're the definition of, "the board moron," your subjective takes have even less substance than most others.

The burning question is this: How did we as a society do so well in a 100 year span to circumvent Darwin's natural selection theory? How do people like you survive past 12 years old without walking around sense?
