I'd say pretty good.

The first 10 or 15 minutes are the worst for me. After I get past that I feel like I can run forever.

Was the same for me when I was younger and into running back in the late 70-80's. That first mile or so would find me searching for my rhythm and getting my breathing right with my pace. After that, it was pretty easy.

The first time I ran with a friend who'd been doing it for a few years I got gassed before a mile. I stuck with it and in a few weeks I was keeping up with him for 3 miles and we gradually increased out mileage to where we were doing 10 mile runs twice a week and 2 runs of 5 miles between that.

We got to where we were doing a 6 minute mile clip and the 10 mile runs were taking us 1 hours to finish. He continued upping his mileage to where he was running marathons and has completed dozens of them over the years.

I, on the other hand, took a second job and had no time for running for years, so I lost all I gained during that time.

My buddy still runs daily and the last time we spoke he told me he had just finished 11 miles-----------at age 74.
