And the LSU student body voted on the expansion and then paid for it through and increase in our fee bill from $135/semester to $200/semester for a really nice facility.

Who needs facts right?
Or that a study was done at the time and found LSU's student experience was ranked near dead last in the SEC, hence the UREC upgrades.

So 18 y/o students (who have a great reputation for good decisions)chose something that then cost them more, then had to take out loans to cover it, then complain that loans should be forgiven. Sorry, it's bullshite. We have so many fees that are unnecessary. I realize this one increase was small, but it all adds up. The reality is we should be focusing on getting a good education in legitimate fields and retaining those educated people in Louisiana to grow the economy. Instead we dangle shiny things in front of students, make them pay for it, then they move to Texas to get a good job to cover it. Priorities are f**ked up and if you deny it, you are blind and will continue to deal with the horrid performance of the state. And how I wish it were different. Wife and I are both grads but have no intention of sending our kids there.
