re: Texas may be getting a new thoroughbred track

I really like horse racing. It's a shame that casinos have taken away so many dollars from tracks. Used to be that was the only place outside of Las Vegas or Atlantic City where you could go and get on something. Horse racing is exciting if you're in the running for the last 100 yards.

I also love greyhounds. Talk about exciting. 30 second or so races and only about ten minutes between races so there's always action. The only think I don't really like about horses is the 20 to 25 minutes between races. I love watching the tote board and seeing the odds change. Parimutuel betting is the best.
