After seeing her picture, I’m pretty sure Harvey wasn’t chasing her around the office. She was probably a talent scout for him.

Likely. And as she's a militant Lesbian, I'd not be surprised if he let her watch.
Nothing about this person's personal or professional life indicates that she be in charge of ANYTHING. Especially nothing regarding a IP as massive and well known as Star Wars.
She's not a fan. Never was. She's an activist, first and last. And she's a horrible human being.
