Yes, spend time around Lake Tahoe. Very beautiful and easy to get on good hiking and other outdoor activities where you will not be covered up in people.

Breweries and restaurants around the lake.

E-biking around the South part of Lake Tahoe is fantastic. Lots of beaches and sights to see. Several locations to eat and drink a beer while riding. We stayed at place right on the California side of the border and with lake front room.
