One thing though, Johnny and June were both in the music business and loved being in the spotlight, and Vivian despised the music business and hated the spotlight. So Johnny and June had that connection that he could never have with Vivian.
Also, he was not faithful to June either. Before he and June got married, when he was still married to Vivian, he was screwing Lorrie Collins of The Collins Kids, plus well into their marriage June caught him screwing her sister Anita and that really threatened the marriage but she stayed with him.

Vivian didn't hate the the music business but had to endure Cash and his affair with June Carter, his dependence on drugs.
