Pastimes has always been a restaurant first. It does a good bar business, but it has always been a restaurant since it opened. It has always had a C-AB1 license which is only for restaurants.

As far as restaurants it is the 3rd oldest in town. The only older restaurants is Chicken Shack which was opened in 1935 and Louie’s Cafe in 1941 (although Louie’s temporarily closed and relocated).
